Sorry if this sounds upsetting

I believe I never had this maternal drive because growing up I didn't have much of a maternal figure.My sister and brother are 13 and 11 years older than me and they have such wonderful stories of my mother being around. I give my mother Hell. This effected me so much that I never liked playing with those baby dolls and I'm not so enthusiastic around children. I see too many of those irresponsible parents with out of control kids at work, and I believe I will be those parents.

The Perception of Being Without Child

I have found time and time again, that people continually perceive me (since I have no children) as having nothing to do. That I'm just sitting at home, twiddling my thumbs, eating bon bons, with oodles and oodles of free time on my hands.

Case in point, I work as the Donations Display Coordinator and Volunteers Supervisor at the Thrift Shop on our post. My manager is ALWAYS calling me, to ask if I would come in to work that day and help with blah, blah, blah. I should mention we are only open… Continue
